Jasmine Minks, the Loft, Biff Bang Pow when Margot Guryan's name came up, and he remarked, "this band I'm in wrote a song about her, so, of course, we had to hear em, and they're called Brown Recluse Sings you know, that scary little fiddleback spider that hides in shoes, with the potent venom that can kill (though, truth be told, a quarter-hit acts as an entheogenic and will actually give you a pleasant buzz) and the more we thought about it, if you mash-up Freestyle, Creation records, Postacard records, Margot Guryan (& bump it up a notch with a dash of Curt Boettcher), that's a pretty fair description of what you're in for with a bite of Brown Recluse Sings sunny Saturday-morning songs with an Anglophilic stroll, a small sacrifice on the altar of the fun-god, and nothing but blue skies.
